How does Lark Approval work?
Creating your own Approval process is easy - just follow this simple step-by-step guide, and you can have it set up in minutes! Get started now and make your approval process a breeze.
1. Click on the Approval app in the left bar of your Larksuite interface.
2. Go to the top-right corner and click the Admin Console.
Creating Approval Groups
The Admin Console allows you to group and sort approval requests, which will be reflected on the corresponding employee's approval requests page.
1. Click Create Group, then set the approval type of the group (e.g., administration, HR, or finance). Afterward, use the Sort function to rearrange the groups in the order you desire. This order will be reflected in the employees' Approval app interface.
This reorganization of the approval structure to align with the organization's reporting lines, coupled with the increased oversight of department managers over individual teams, will help improve the organization's efficiency and effectiveness.
Create An Approval
1. To create a custom approval, click Create, or use one of our pre-made approval templates, which cover a range of common scenarios.
Step 1: Basic Information
Enter the approval name, description, approval group, and visibility, then submit.
Step 2: Form Design
Drag the necessary controls onto the mobile display layout to design a form that will be used by employees.
We provide four default components - Leave, Overtime, Business Trip, and Remote - which are associated with the Attendance app. When employees use any of these components, the related information will be automatically logged in their attendance record.
Step 3: Process Design
You can customize the content of each approval node in process design, such as the approvers, approval methods, editable and read-only fields, and if transfer or additional approvers are permissible.
You can also make your approval process more complex by adding more approvers and branching out to configure different procedures for different scenarios.
Step 4: More Settings
Set the revoke and transfer rules of approval:
Revoke Setting: Whether to allow employees to revoke approval requests within a set period of time.
Forward setting: Whether to restrict approval transfer to only employees relevant to the approval.
After performing the four steps listed above, click the Preview button in the upper-right corner to view the entire process. Once you have done this, click the Publish button in the same corner to finalize the creation.
The Data Management page allows you to quickly view and export approval records, and you can filter the records according to title, status, time, and keywords.
Employees can open the Approval app from the left side of their screen. On the Submit Request page, they can choose an approval and enter the necessary details before submitting it. This will generate an approval notification sent to the relevant approvers in Lark.
